Old School: Black Book One

Recently, while searching for some of my typography stuff because I had to design the logo for a game, I stumbled across my old black books. It was fun to watch all the graffiti sketches and characters I designed those days – almost 20 years ago now…
It’ll take a few more months before I can show you pictures of my current projects, so I decided to put some of my early works here. Watch out for more.

Warten auf “Stani Sternenstaub”

Ebenfalls im letzten Jahr habe ich das Kinderbuch “Willkommen Stani Sternenstaub” für den Autoren Arnim Kempter illustriert. In der wundervoll erzählten Geschichte geht es um einen kleinen Ausserirdischen, der auf der Erde notlanden muss – und dabei ausgerechnet auf den Dachboden von Charlottes Haus kracht.
Das Buch befindet sich derzeit noch in Druck. Aber um sich die Wartezeit bis zur Veröffentlichung etwas zu verkürzen, kann man hier schon mal ein paar Bilder anschauen. Ausserdem gibt es auf dem galaktischen Reiseblog von Stani Sternenstaub einige Details von seinen Weltraumabenteuern und nähere Infos zu dem Kinderbuch.

Storyboarding für “Hexe Lilli 2″

Im letzten Sommer habe ich an dem Storyboard für “Hexe Lilli: Die Reise nach Mandolan” gearbeitet.
Gemeinsam mit meinen fantastischen Kollegen Peter Oedekoven und Eric Desideriu haben wir die Einstellungen für den gesamten Film visuell gestaltet, was besonders wichtig für die Umsetzung der CGI-Charaktere Hektor (gesprochen von Michael Mittermeier) und Suki (gesprochen von Cosma Shiva Hagen) war, die erst in der Postprodutktion digital eingefügt wurden.
Am 17. Februar 2011 kommt der Film nun in die Kinos.
